The Best Time for Skin Treatments is Now

With summer vacations almost behind us, and shorter days ahead, fall and winter is the perfect time for repair and restoration. If you’ve been interested in laser skin resurfacing, microneedling or IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), now is the time to get serious. Here’s why:

Less Sun Exposure
With many skin treatments it is beneficial to avoid sun exposure before and after treatment. Using a laser on a fresh tan can cause serious adverse effects. It’s also important to be careful following treatment too, as your skin is vulnerable while healing. Since you’re less likely to be out in the sun for long periods when the temperature drops, avoiding sun exposure will be much easier. While it’s possible to protect your skin during the spring and summer, it’s much more convenient to do so in the fall and winter.

Depending on the treatment you get, it may be recommended to refrain from certain activities and exercise immediately following the procedure. Most people find it easier to take a few rest days come fall.
