Using a specific laser hair removal device, wavelengths of energy target the color and depth of the hair follicle. The wavelength of energy is absorbed by the hair within the follicle and over several days the follicles are ejected from the body. An average of six to eight treatments are recommended for optimal results. Patients with darker hair respond best to laser hair removal as the laser wavelength targets the pigment of the hair by differentiating it from the skin via color. The treatment is relatively pain-free with almost no downtime.
Clients are required to shave the treatment area the day before or day of treatment.
