Glow Peel in Winnipeg

Winnipeg winters are tough on skin. The combination of cold, dry air, wind, and indoor heating pulls moisture from the surface, leaving skin looking flat, dull, and rough by the time spring rolls around. The Glow Peel is one of the most effective ways to reset the skin after seasonal damage, and one of the most comfortable treatments we offer at our South Osborne clinic. It is an ideal starting point for anyone new to clinical skincare, and a smart regular maintenance treatment for clients who already have a more advanced routine. Complimentary Glow Peel consultations are available at SKIN Clinics Winnipeg. Book your consultation to find out if Glow Peel is right for your skin.

What Is the Glow Peel?

The Glow Peel is an introductory-level medical chemical peel. Unlike spa peels that work only on the skin’s surface, the Glow Peel uses pharmaceutical-grade active ingredients to speed up the skin’s natural cell renewal process at a deeper level.
The formula contains four key ingredients working together:

  • 12% glycolic acid: An alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that dissolves the bonds between dead skin cells, encouraging them to shed and revealing the fresher, healthier skin underneath
  • 2% phytic acid: An antioxidant that protects against free radical damage and helps even skin tone
  • Niacinamide (Vitamin B3): Calms redness, reduces the appearance of pores, and brightens the complexion
  • Sage extract: Provides anti-inflammatory and antibacterial support, making it particularly effective for acne-prone skin

Together, these ingredients deliver cell renewal without causing significant irritation, visible peeling, or recovery time. The Glow Peel is dermatologist-recommended and performed exclusively by trained aesthetic providers at our Winnipeg clinic.

How Does the Glow Peel Work?

The treatment follows a straightforward process from start to finish:

  1. Your provider reviews your skin concerns, confirms eligibility, and selects the appropriate application approach for your skin type
  2. The treatment area is gently cleansed to remove any surface oils or makeup
  3. The Glow Peel solution is applied evenly to the skin. You may feel a mild warmth or tingling sensation as the active ingredients begin working
  4. Additional layers are applied depending on your skin goals, sensitivity, and areas of concern
  5. An optional Retinol Booster can be added to increase cell shedding and renewal for clients who want a more intensive result
  6. A soothing masque is applied to calm and hydrate the skin after the peel
  7. Your provider finishes by selecting products suited to your specific concerns and walks you through how to use them at home

Most appointments take 30 to 45 minutes. You can return to your regular activities immediately after.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Glow Peel in Winnipeg

The Glow Peel is a gentle, introductory-level chemical peel designed to improve skin texture, tone, and overall dullness. It uses a blend of 12% glycolic acid and 2% phytic acid with niacinamide and sage to encourage exfoliation and cell renewal, helping reveal healthier, smoother-looking skin. It may also help improve hydration, decongest pores, reduce bacteria found in acne, and calm the skin. For more information, visit our Glow Peel treatment page.

A series of 3–6 Glow Peel treatments spaced approximately 4–6 weeks apart is typically recommended to achieve desirable results. Many patients begin to notice visible improvement within approximately 1–2 weeks.

Glow Peel results typically last approximately 4–12 weeks. Once the initial series is complete and the desired outcome has been reached, maintenance treatments may be scheduled throughout the year based on your skin goals.

Glow Peel is designed as a no-downtime treatment. Minor redness in the treated area is normal, and some patients may experience mild irritation depending on skin sensitivity. This typically resolves within approximately 12–72 hours. Daily SPF is recommended because the peel can increase sensitivity to sunlight.

During the treatment, you may feel a warm, tingling sensation as the peel solution is applied. Additional layers may be used depending on your skin goals, sensitivity, and areas of concern. A retinol booster may also be offered to increase peeling, flaking, and shedding of dead skin cells. A soothing masque is applied after the peel to calm and hydrate the skin.

Glow Peel is an introductory-level peel for patients who are new to medical skincare and clinical procedures. The Custom Pro Peel is tailored to individual skin needs and uses a stronger blend of 20% glycolic acid and 10% lactic acid. The Jessner Peel is a stronger peel option designed for concerns such as pigmentation, uneven texture, sun damage, and acne-related skin changes. A consultation at SKIN Clinics Winnipeg helps determine which peel is appropriate for your skin.

Yes. Glow Peel treatments may be combined with other cosmetic procedures, but timing depends on the treatments being considered and your skin condition. Neuromodulator treatments should generally be avoided for at least 2 weeks beforehand, although they may be performed on the same day if they take place after the facial. Laser treatments should generally be avoided for 2–4 weeks after the peel.

Glow Peel may not be suitable for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding or who have active cold sores, warts, wounds, sunburn, excessive sensitivity, or dermatitis in the treatment area. Recent oral isotretinoin use may also affect eligibility. A consultation at SKIN Clinics Winnipeg helps confirm whether Glow Peel is appropriate for your skin.
