Your journey to luminous, even skin begins with a personalized clinical peel
This gentle, no-downtime treatment is designed to encourage healthier-looking skin by addressing your individual needs, concerns, and goals during each visit. Peels can improve overall skin health, strengthen tolerability, and nourish at a cellular level. A short series is often recommended before moving on to more advanced clinical options, and they also help boost the benefits of your at-home skincare regimen. At SKIN, we proudly provide this treatment to clients across Calgary and the surrounding areas.
The Science Behind Your Personalized Peel
This treatment uses a carefully balanced blend of 20% glycolic acid and 10% lactic acid to gently exfoliate and encourage fresh cell renewal, revealing skin that looks healthier and smoother. The benefits extend beyond the surface, supporting improved cellular turnover, stimulating collagen, boosting hydration, lightening hyperpigmentation, clearing congested pores, reducing acne-causing bacteria, and softening overall texture.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many treatments are needed for optimal results?
+ Most clients benefit from a series of three to six peels, spaced about four to six weeks apart, to achieve noticeable and lasting improvements.
Who is not eligible for this treatment?
+ The peel is not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have active cold sores, warts, wounds, sunburn, excessive skin sensitivity, or dermatitis in the treatment area. It is also not recommended if you have taken oral isotretinoin within the past year.
What should I expect during the procedure?
+ The experience feels like a spa treatment with a hint of warmth. You may notice a light tingling sensation as the solution is applied. Depending on your skin needs, your provider may layer the peel or add a retinol booster to enhance skin renewal. A soothing masque follows, along with customized products and guidance to support your skin after treatment.
Do I need to maintain my peel treatments?
+ Yes, continued treatments are encouraged to build skin resilience, boost cellular turnover, and maintain your results. Over time, and if your skin is ready, you may progress to higher-strength peels.
Are there any side effects?
+ Temporary effects can include redness, mild swelling, dryness, or flaking skin. These typically resolve within a few days to a week. Following your clinician’s aftercare instructions will help minimize any discomfort and ensure a smooth recovery.
How long does the treatment take?
+ Depending on your skin type and the peel selected, sessions usually last around an hour.
