Pre Treatment
Before You Arrive
- Please complete your Health History/Intake form before your appointment. If you haven’t, please arrive 15 minutes early.
- Have a light snack or meal 30–60 minutes beforehand.
- Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup.
- Apply a medical-grade SPF 50 daily to the treatment area for 4–6 weeks before your session.
- Inform your provider if you have a history of cold sores; a preventative prescription (Valtrex) can be provided.
What to Avoid
For your safety and best results, please avoid the following:
- Retinol or active exfoliants for 5–7 days before treatment.
- Neuromodulators (such as tox) for at least 2 weeks prior.
- Dermal fillers should be used in the treatment area for at least 4 weeks prior.
- Direct sun exposure for 4–6 weeks prior.
- Tanning (including spray tans and self-tanning products) for 4–6 weeks prior. If a tan is present, your appointment will need to be rescheduled.
- Oral isotretinoin for a minimum of 6 months before treatment.
- Please note: we cannot provide this treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
