This non-ablative laser treatment is less invasive to the skin and requires less downtime than ablative options. The ResurFX laser heats targeted tissue creating controlled minor “wounds” deeper in the skin without destroying any surrounding tissue. The heat stimulates the body’s natural wound-healing response to produce collagen, and elastin, which, in time, creates a smoother skin surface. Depending on the severity of the skin concerns, multiple treatments may be required for optimal results. After the laser treatments, results to the skin will continue to improve for up to six months.
