About Neuromodulators (Botox®, Dysport®, Nuceiva®, Xeomin®).

Also known by brand names such as BOTOX®, DYSPORT®, Xeomin® and NUCEIVA®, these purified proteins are carefully injected into specific facial muscles responsible for expression lines. By temporarily reducing repetitive muscle contractions, they smooth away common concerns such as frown lines, forehead creases, bunny lines on the nose, crow’s feet around the eyes, and fine lines near the mouth. The treatment not only softens existing wrinkles but also works preventively to keep deeper folds from forming. Many clients notice improvements within just a few days, with full results visible at around two weeks.

For those curious about how this therapy works at a deeper level, wrinkle-relaxing injections target the neuromuscular junction, where nerves communicate with muscles. Normally, nerves release a chemical messenger called acetylcholine, which signals the muscle to contract. These repeated contractions cause dynamic wrinkles such as frown lines, forehead creases, and crow’s feet. When this purified protein is administered, it temporarily blocks the release of acetylcholine. This prevents the muscle from contracting as strongly, allowing the overlying skin to relax.

Nerve Signal – Acetylcholine is released, triggering muscle contraction. Muscle Contraction – Repeated movement leads to expression lines and folds. Injection Step – The active ingredient blocks acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction. Muscle Relaxation – Without the contraction signal, the muscle gently relaxes.
