The Scar Revision treatment uses a laser that allows the penetration depth to be precisely controlled and customized to each scar and treatment area. The heat generated by the laser causes a controlled wound-healing response which results in new, regenerated healthy skin cells and collagen renewal. The healing occurs throughout the skin layers, which evens out texture, and tone, and offers an overall smoother appearance of the skin.

The number of treatments required depends on the type, age, size, and severity of the scar being treated. Most clients notice a visible improvement in scar colour, texture, and overall appearance after their first 2–3 sessions, with optimal results achieved across a course of 4–6 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Results continue to improve in the months following each treatment as collagen remodelling progresses and the scar tissue is gradually refined and rebuilt from within. Your provider will thoroughly assess your scar at consultation and design a fully personalised treatment protocol with realistic expectations and a clear timeline for your individual result.

Laser scar revision is effective across a wide range of scar types including surgical scars, traumatic scars, hypertrophic scars, and scars with significant pigmentation or discolouration. The most important factor in determining suitability is that the scar has fully matured, typically at least 6–12 months following the initial injury or procedure. Keloid scars require a more specialised approach and will be carefully assessed by your provider prior to treatment.
