Before your visit
Preparing
- Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin
- Use medical-grade SPF 50 daily on the treatment area for 4 to 6 weeks prior
- Shower before your visit, as you may not be able to wash your hair for a few days
- Please shave any facial hair in the treatment area before your appointment
- After your consultation, you’ll receive prescriptions for Valtrex, Hydroval
After your treatment
Recovering
- Bleeding or oozing may occur in the first 24 hours
- Redness or swelling is normal
- Dryness, scabbing and peeling will develop as your skin heals
- Protect from sun & wear SPF 50 daily1 week
- Start vinegar soaks the day after treatment
- Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor after cleansing
- Repeat vinegar soaks up to 12 times daily if needed
