ND:Yag Laser

IPL and Laser Treatment

Used to treat:

  • Vascular Lesions
  • Leg Veins
  • Telangiectasias

How does it work?

The laser and light energy is delivered in long pulses, it is then absorbed by the hemoglobin (blood), which heats up and coagulates the blood causing the vessel wall to collapse. Overtime, the vessel is reabsorbed by the body and disappears, without damaging the surrounding tissue.

What are treatments like?

First, a cold gel is applied, and you will be given protective goggles for your eyes. The pulses of light are applied to your skin, where you may feel a slight stinging sensation. Treatments are effective, taking roughly 15 minutes.

How many treatments will I need?

The amount of treatments needed depends on the size, and amount of lesions. Smaller blood vessels may only take 1 to 3 treatments, but larger vessels may require several sessions.
